HireLocal USA respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users of our platform to do the same. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") Policy explains how copyright owners may report alleged copyright infringement and how HireLocal responds to valid copyright complaints.

01. Our Commitment

HireLocal is committed to protecting intellectual property rights while maintaining a fair and transparent process for all users.

If you believe copyrighted material has been posted on HireLocal without authorization, you may submit a DMCA Notice following the procedures outlined below.

02. Copyright Infringement

Copyright infringement may include the unauthorized use of:

  • Photographs

  • Logos

  • Artwork

  • Videos

  • Documents

  • Written content

  • Graphic designs

  • Software

  • Audio recordings

  • Other copyrighted works

Users should only upload content they own or have permission to use.

03. Filing a DMCA Notice

A valid DMCA Notice should include:

  • Full name of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  • Contact information
  • Description of the copyrighted work
  • URL or location of the allegedly infringing material
  • Statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • Statement that the information provided is accurate
  • Electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative

Incomplete notices may delay processing.

04. How HireLocal Responds

Upon receiving a valid DMCA Notice, HireLocal may:

  • Review the complaint
  • Temporarily remove or disable access to the reported content
  • Notify the affected user
  • Request additional information if necessary
  • Investigate the claim
  • Take additional action where appropriate

05. Counter Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a Counter Notification.

A Counter Notification should include:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Identification of the removed material
  • Statement made under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Consent to the appropriate legal jurisdiction
  • Your electronic or physical signature

HireLocal may restore the content if appropriate and if no legal action is initiated by the copyright owner within the applicable timeframe.

06. Repeat Infringers

Users who repeatedly violate copyright laws or the intellectual property rights of others may have their accounts:

  • Restricted
  • Suspended
  • Permanently terminated

HireLocal reserves the right to determine what constitutes repeated infringement.

07. False Claims

Submitting false or misleading copyright claims may result in:

  • Rejection of the notice
  • Account restrictions
  • Legal liability under applicable law

Only submit a DMCA Notice if you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

08. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to upload any content they submit to HireLocal, including:

  • Profile photos
  • Business logos
  • Portfolio images
  • Service photos
  • Job descriptions
  • Marketing materials
  • Documents
  • Videos
  • Written content

Uploading copyrighted material without authorization may result in removal of the content and additional account action.

10. Changes to This Policy

HireLocal may update this DMCA Policy periodically to reflect changes in applicable law or platform operations.

Continued use of HireLocal after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
